Are you a couple in conflict? If so this advice will help you instantly

The past months have been tough on relationships, with everyone cooped up together, with less or no social outlet or space, it’s no wonder more people are coming to me for help.

I’m going to give you a quick and simple tool that you can use immediately that will help you stay calm and objective, avoiding arguments and disputes.

First you have to understand that men and women really are from opposite planets, Mars and Venus, or call it what you like, our brains are wired differently, we think and act differently too.

In general women like to talk about their feelings, to express themselves and like regular contact from their man.

In general men are far more reserved with their feelings and words, they will keep a lot bottled in and it can be hard to express themselves correctly to their woman.  Staying in touch is often an issue.   Men get very confused about what women want and sometimes will give up trying or resorting to old patterns.

Don’t be offended when you man goes off to his ‘man cave’, for a day or so, he needs to be able to pull back from you and go into himself, then when he is ready to communicate again he will come back to you, as though nothing has happened.

By this time the woman in his life often feels deserted, hurt, angry and sometimes ready to move on.

The good news and what I am going to share with you today is that there is no need to be mad, sad or otherwise.  Your man is doing exactly what he is programmed to do and you can be using this time to do something you really want to do.  Meet up with a friend, get your wardrobe sorted, have a run, etc, enjoy yourself.

Don’t worry because he will come back to you.

The tip today is that you need to take a look at the other side,  what’s going on with your partner, take a journey into their world and you will see there is no need to take it personally.

Expressing yourself in a way that the opposite sex will listen is a skill that I can teach you.  It involves requesting your partners time for a chat and calmly expressing how YOU feel and what YOU would like your partner to do or say that would make you feel comfortable and loved.

During my couples coaching sessions we take time practicing this clean language and you will be amazed the difference it makes.  You will start to feel listened to and loved just like you want to be.
