Have we lost the art of flirting?

Meeting people out and about is not as difficult as you may think yet we seem to have lost our way.  I am often asked how to initiate a conversation with a stranger, what to say and where to meet people?

Firstly it’s about catching someone’s eye and this can happen anywhere, at the supermarket, a coffee shop, a dance lesson or the gym.

Secondly, holding eye contact and a direct smile, showing that you have noticed them and that you are happy to connect.

Thirdly, say something, just ‘hi’ is fine! It doesn’t have to be more complicated than that, then follow up with a question, ‘how’s your day going?’

Get used to talking to strangers and then they will become familiar, then you can suggest a coffee 🙂
